Mersey Valley Processing Centre - Widnes

Client: Costain/Veolia Contract Value: £1.2 million

Weatherwise (Special Projects) Ltd have secured the contract for the roof and wall cladding on the multi-million pound Mersey Valley Processing Centre, near Widnes, which is part of a wider campaign to clean up the River Mersey.

The £1.5 million contract for the design, supply and installation of the standing seam roof and microrib wall cladding was given by the main contractor S3JV, which is a joint venture between Veolia Water Solutions and Costain Ltd and should be complete by December 2009.

Managing Director, Wayne Little says “ This type of contract win is fundamental in securing the future sustainability and order book for WSP and we look forward to our next success”.


Central Berkshire Waste Management Facilities

Client: Earth Tech, Clugston Construction and the Waste Recycling Group Contract Value: £2,000,000

Weatherwise have won the £2 million contract for a new waste management facility in Central Berkshire.

The overall project is a £26 million joint venture between global environmental services company Earth Tech, Clugston Construction and the Waste Recycling Group. Working in partnership with Clugston,

Weatherwise secured the contract for the roof and wall cladding on two separate sites at Smallmead and Longshot.

Work involves a curved composite standing seam sheet with domed rooflights and microrib walls to the main plant areas.

The office buildings have composite membrane sheets to the roof and microrib walls.

The Smallmead site is due for completion in June 2008 and Longshot in February 2009.


Airbus UK, Broughton, Chester

Client: AMEC Capital Projects Limited Contract Value: £1,250,000

The Stringer Manufacturing Facility with a fast track programme to build the roof and panelling for the facility was followed by The Skin and Creep Buildings with similar roof and walls. The buildings formed part of a new facility at Broughton to build wings for the new Airbus double decker plane.

Bracknell Waste Management Plant

Client: Clugston Construction Contract Value: £ 500,000.00

Weatherwise SP have won the £500,000 contract for a new waste management facility in Bracknell, which is part of the £26 million Central Berkshire Waste Management Facility.

The site is the next phase of a joint venture between global environmental services company Earth Tech, Clugston Construction and the Waste Recycling Group. Working in partnership with Clugston,

Weatherwise have already completed the £2 million contract on the initial phase at Smallmead.
